Chinese mainland starts EPDM anti-dumping review tomorrow

🔍 Tomorrow (December 20, 2025), the Ministry of Commerce of the Chinese mainland kicks off an expiry review of anti-dumping measures on EPDM imports from the U.S., the Republic of Korea and the European Union.

The review, requested in October by two local producers, aims to check if ending the current duties could lead to resumed dumping and damage to the domestic industry. It's expected to wrap up by December 20, 2026.

During this period, importers will still face duties at the rates from the ministry's 2020 announcement:

  • U.S. companies: 214.9% – 222%
  • Republic of Korea companies: 12.5% – 24.5%
  • EU companies: 14.7% – 31.7%

Meanwhile, anti-dumping measures on EPDM from Britain will expire on December 20, 2025.

EPDM is a versatile synthetic rubber used in construction, cable insulation and automotive parts like seals and hoses. This review could shape costs and competition in these key industries. ⚙️🚗
