🕯️ On Sunday, December 14, 2025, in Guangzhou, south China's Guangdong Province, the remains of Wang Bingqian were laid to rest in a solemn cremation ceremony. A towering figure in modern Chinese politics, Wang passed away just six days earlier, on December 8, at the remarkable age of 100.

In the days following his death, top leaders — including General Secretary of the CPC Central Committee Xi Jinping, Premier Li Qiang, Zhao Leji, Wang Huning, Cai Qi, Ding Xuexiang, Li Xi, Han Zheng and former leader Hu Jintao — visited Wang in hospital or sent messages of condolence to his family.

At the funeral home, Zhao Leji, member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and chairman of the NPC Standing Committee, led the official farewell, joined by other senior figures from the Chinese mainland.
