Breaking: China’s Shiyan-22 Satellite Soars to Orbit 🚀
Yesterday, on Dec 9, China launched its Shiyan-22 communication technology test satellite from the Xichang Satellite Launch Center in Sichuan province. A Long March-3B rocket lifted off at 11:08 p.m. Beijing Time, placing the satellite into its target orbit.
Shiyan-22 will focus on advancing satellite communication, radio and television broadcasting, and high-speed data transmission. Engineers will run a series of technical tests and validations to push the limits of space-based connectivity.
In a spectacular display of aerospace efficiency, China’s Long March carrier rockets completed three launch missions in just one day, marking a new record. Alongside Shiyan-22, these missions put into orbit:
- The 15th group of low-orbit internet satellites 🌐
- Yaogan-47 remote sensing satellite 📡
This launch marks the 615th mission of the Long March series, underlining China’s rapid rise in space technology. For young professionals, students, and space buffs, these milestones signal exciting times ahead in global connectivity. Stay tuned as Shiyan-22 begins its mission to reshape how we communicate from space! ✨
