He Lifeng urges deeper China-U.S. cooperation

Beijing, December 9, 2025 – Chinese Vice Premier He Lifeng 🤝 Craig Allen, president of the U.S.-China Business Council, met today in Beijing with a clear message: China and the U.S. should keep adding to their cooperation list and trimming their disagreements.

He Lifeng highlighted that the two heads of state have had several phone conversations and a successful meeting in Busan, setting the stage for deeper collaboration. “Guided by the strategic leadership of the two presidents, both sides should stay on the right course,” he said.

As China approaches the launch of its 15th Five-Year Plan (2026–2030), the vice premier emphasized the country’s commitment to high-standard opening up. He invited more U.S. companies to invest and operate in China, aiming to drive “steady, healthy and sustainable” growth in China-U.S. economic and trade ties 🌐.

Craig Allen praised the outcomes of the presidential discussions and expressed his readiness to bridge gaps and foster even stronger economic and trade cooperation between the two nations.

With the year wrapping up and fresh plans on the horizon, experts say today’s meeting could mark a turning point for China-U.S. relations, offering new opportunities for businesses and investors on both sides of the Pacific.
