Su Yiming Clinches Back-to-Back Snowboard Big Air Titles in Beijing

On Saturday, December 6, in Beijing, China's Olympic champion Su Yiming thrilled fans by winning his second straight men's Snowboard Big Air World Cup title 🏂🔥.

Coming off a season-opening win in Zhangjiakou, the 21-year-old posted a combined 177.5 points from his first two runs. Japan's Kira Kimura then stunned the crowd with a switch backside 1980 drunk driver grab worth 91.25 points, nudging his total to 178.25 and seizing the lead.

Fueled by cheers from the home crowd, Su dialed up the pressure and landed the same switch backside 1980 melon grab even more cleanly, boosting his score to 181.00 points and reclaiming the gold 🏆.

“Winning back-to-back titles wasn’t easy. Last year I had my worst final result here, and I told myself I had to work hard to come back stronger,” Su said. “I’m really happy to have achieved that today,” he added, eyeing the Milan-Cortina Winter Olympics as the ultimate goal.

Su now tops the FIS men's Snowboard Big Air standings with 200 points, ahead of compatriot Ge Chunyu (112) and Kimura (109). With the season in full swing, fans are already buzzing for more epic tricks at the next stop!
