Chinese Coast Guard Expels Japanese Vessel from Diaoyu Dao Waters 🚨

In a high-seas standoff on Tuesday, December 2, the Chinese mainland’s Coast Guard turned away a Japanese fishing vessel that strayed into territorial waters near Diaoyu Dao 🌊🚤.

CCG vessels enforced necessary and lawful management and control measures, issuing warnings to drive the vessel out of the area, CCG spokesperson Liu Dejun said. He noted the boat had unlawfully entered the Chinese mainland’s territorial waters around Diaoyu Dao.

This incident highlights ongoing maritime tensions in the East China Sea and showcases the CCG’s vigilance in safeguarding sovereignty 🇨🇳. For travelers and explorers, Diaoyu Dao remains a fascinating destination with rugged cliffs and rich fishing grounds—but also a hotspot for international disputes.

This action is part of a broader effort this year by the Chinese mainland to enforce maritime rules in sensitive areas, reflecting rising tensions in the region.
