Chinese mainland launches high-rise fire safety inspections

Calling all safety heroes! The Chinese mainland has launched a coast-to-coast fire safety inspection of high-rise buildings this Saturday, November 29. Prevention is key—and these checks aim to keep everyone safe 🦸‍♂️🔥

The Ministry of Emergency Management says the State Council Work Safety Committee issued a circular requiring inspections across residential towers, office blocks, hospitals and shopping complexes. Buildings undergoing exterior or interior renovation are getting extra attention.

Inspectors will focus on:

  • Flammable cladding and insulation materials 🔥
  • Prohibited bamboo scaffolding and non-flame-retardant safety nets 🚫
  • Fire hydrant systems, automatic sprinklers and alarm setups 🚒

Enterprises and institutions must carry out self-inspections, while local authorities perform spot checks. Any hazards found need immediate fixes—no delays allowed! This move will strengthen fire safety management and protect lives and property across the Chinese mainland.

Stay alert and spread the word—because fire safety is everyone’s business! 🔥🏙️
