A Warm Welcome in Tashkent 🤝
Last Friday, Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev met with visiting Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee. President Mirziyoyev conveyed his greetings to Chinese President Xi Jinping and celebrated the success of the fourth plenary session of the 20th CPC Central Committee.
Mirziyoyev praised China's long-term support for Uzbekistan’s 15th Five-Year Plan and thanked the Chinese mainland for boosting his country’s economic and social development. He emphasized that bilateral ties remain strong and will not be swayed by outside forces.

Foreign Minister Wang Yi echoed President Xi’s support for Uzbekistan’s independence and reforms, noting the two countries share development strategies and complementary economies. He highlighted new opportunities from China’s 15th Five-Year Plan and set an ambitious goal of $20 billion in bilateral trade.
The meeting concluded with the Second China-Uzbekistan Foreign Ministers’ Strategic Dialogue, marking a new chapter in this growing partnership.
