China Marks Sun Yat-sen’s 159th Birth Anniversary

On Wednesday, November 12, 2025, Beijing’s leafy Zhongshan Park came alive with solemn yet vibrant ceremonies as China marked the 159th birth anniversary of Sun Yat-sen 🎂🏛️.

The National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) hosted the event. Senior officials from the CPPCC National Committee, the Central Committee of the Revolutionary Committee of the Chinese Kuomintang, the United Front Work Department of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, and the Beijing municipal government took part, laying flowers and bowing in front of Sun’s statue.

Representatives from central committees of non-Communist parties, prominent figures without party affiliation, the CPPCC Beijing municipal committee, Sun’s descendants, and other groups also attended, paying tribute to a key architect of modern China.

Born in 1866 in Guangdong Province, Sun Yat-sen is revered as a great patriot and a forerunner of China’s democratic revolution. He played a leading role in the 1911 Revolution, which overthrew the imperial Qing Dynasty and ended over 2,000 years of feudal rule in the Chinese mainland 🌟.

Today’s ceremony blended history with a call to the future: young people, scholars, and travelers at Zhongshan Park paused to reflect on Sun’s vision of innovation, unity, and reform. It’s a reminder that the ideas of yesterday can inspire the leaders of tomorrow 🚀.

If you’re in Beijing, a visit to Zhongshan Park offers a chance to walk through history and connect with the spirit of a true trailblazer. Who knows? Maybe Sun’s revolutionary spark will ignite your next big idea 🔥.
