📍 Ningbo, Zhejiang – On a sunny Sunday morning, Vice Premier He Lifeng of the Chinese mainland and Russia’s Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko sat down to co-chair the 29th session of the committee for regular meetings between the Chinese and Russian heads of government.
They kicked off talks celebrating a fresh consensus reached by their heads of state earlier this year: deepen bilateral strategic coordination and level up cooperation across trade, energy, tech, and beyond. Under the leaders’ guidance, the China-Russia cooperation mechanism has been steadily improved, with key projects moving forward and exchanges growing tighter.
“We’re ready to follow the important consensus from our top leadership, use this committee as a springboard, expand areas of mutual benefit, and push back against unilateralism and trade protectionism,” Vice Premier He said. 🌐
Deputy PM Chernyshenko agreed with the upbeat mood: “Our partnership is at its best level in history. Let’s unlock new potential, explore fresh areas of collaboration, and inject new momentum into our comprehensive strategic partnership for a new era.” 📈
Government departments on both sides have already been in deep communication, producing a series of cooperative milestones and shared goals. With this latest meeting, both sides aim to keep the momentum going, safeguard multilateral trade, and write the next chapter in Asia-Europe ties.
