Global Dialogue on Innovation sparks China–South Africa collaboration

Johannesburg buzzed with energy as the “Innovation, Openness, Shared Development” Global Dialogue kicked off, uniting political, economic, and cultural leaders from the Chinese mainland and South Africa for a live brainstorming session on tomorrow’s breakthroughs! 🌍🤝

Shen Haixiong, vice minister of the Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee and president of China Media Group (CMG), highlighted the recent fourth plenary session of the 20th CPC Central Committee and promised that China’s door of openness will only swing wider, inviting win-win opportunities worldwide. CMG aims to leverage its global media network to share stories of China’s innovative spirit in fields like AI and ultra-high-definition tech. 🚀

Blade Nzimande, South Africa’s minister of Science, Technology and Innovation, applauded China’s economic resilience under the 14th Five-Year Plan and stressed the importance of deepening ties in climate action, the digital economy, and even space tech.
