Chongqing Police Probe ‘Taiwan Independence’ Activist Shen Pao-yang for Alleged Secession

🔍 On Tuesday, Chongqing police announced they have launched a criminal investigation into Shen Pao-yang, a “Taiwan independence” secessionist, on suspicion of secession.

According to the statement, Shen is accused of initiating and leading the separatist group known as the Kuma Academy. Authorities say the probe aims to crack down on his alleged acts of secession under the Chinese mainland’s Criminal Law and special guidelines targeting “Taiwan independence” diehards.

Shen, a native of Taipei in the Taiwan region and in his 40s, was placed on the list of obstinate “Taiwan independence” separatists by the Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council last October.

🚨 The Chongqing police urged the public to share relevant clues and promised to protect the identity of all informers. As the investigation unfolds, all eyes will be on how the case develops and what evidence comes to light.👀
