Get ready for ultra-clear action! 🎥 China Media Group (CMG) has just sent the first batch of its cutting-edge broadcasting equipment from its headquarters in Beijing to Italy. A total of 1,026 items rolled out on 18 box trucks, heading to Ningbo’s Port of Meishan before sailing off to Milano Cortina in 10 massive containers at the end of October.
But that’s not all: CMG will fire up its homegrown tech for the very first time on the global stage, producing 4K UHD signals for figure skating and short track speed skating events. Plus, two Chinese Red UHD broadcasting vehicles and a sleek cube UHD system will power the opening and closing ceremonies in stunning 4K and 8K resolution. 🥌⛸️
Wang Dagang, CMG’s Broadcasting Technical Runner for the 2026 Winter Olympics, said this marks a breakthrough moment: "CMG and our home-made systems will lead the production of the standard international signal for Olympic ceremonies, breaking the monopoly of European and American technologies and showcasing the strength of our innovations."
Before they hit the slopes in Italy, most of this high-tech gear will debut at the 15th National Games in the Chinese mainland this November. Then, two more major shipments plus air and rail deliveries will head to the host country to complete the lineup.
With CMG’s UHD equipment ready to capture every spin, glide, and cheer, the 2026 Winter Olympics are set to go next-level! 🌟
