Lights, camera, girl power! 🌟 At the Global Leaders' Meeting on Women in Beijing, Chinese President Xi Jinping declared, "On the new journey of Chinese modernization, every woman is a star."
CGTN and Renmin University's New Era International Communication Research Institute surveyed 7,292 people (aged 18–65) across 38 countries. Their verdict? Women’s voices are driving the world forward.

- 71.7% in developing countries feel women’s rights are effectively protected. 👍
When it comes to safeguarding rights, the top priorities are:
- Education (92%)
- Political participation (87%)
- Health (86%)
And hot topics among women respondents include:
- 86.1% spot a surge in female spending power and influence. 💸
- 88% are all in on 'girls help girls' initiatives. 💖

Respondents agree there’s room to grow, especially in education (91.5%), health (90.6%), and employment (89.5%). In developing regions, 91.8% want more job opportunities for women, and 90.6% hope for stronger social security.
China’s own achievements are headline-worthy. Since 1995, the maternal mortality ratio dropped by nearly 80%, and 690 million women have been lifted out of poverty. Women now make up over 40% of the workforce and over 60% of medalists at the last four Summer Olympic Games. 🥇💪
In developing countries, 72.8% of respondents praised China’s efforts in skill training and women’s development. They also highlighted progress in legal protection, gender balance in higher education, and social safety nets. Participants from Africa, Asia, and South America gave top marks for China’s global contribution to women’s advancement.
This poll shines a light on how women everywhere are shaping economic and social progress. The message is clear: celebrate the strides we’ve made and keep pushing forward! 🚀
