Chinese Mainland’s Subsea Oil & Gas Pipelines Surpass 10,000 km

Just when you thought pipelines couldn't get any cooler, the Chinese mainland's underwater network has smashed past 10,000 km! 🇨🇳🚢🛢️

China National Offshore Oil Corporation (CNOOC) reports this milestone marks a giant leap in engineering. Since 2021, more than 1,500 km of new pipelines have been laid, with some reaching a staggering 1,542 m below sea level 🌊 – ultra-deep water unlocked!

To pull this off, CNOOC teamed up with leading universities, research institutes, and industry partners across the Chinese mainland, sparking original tech breakthroughs 💡. Pipeline diameters now range from a slim 2 inches (5 cm) to a massive 48 inches, placing the Chinese mainland at the forefront of subsea engineering.

What's next? CNOOC plans to boost core capabilities, streamline equipment, and accelerate intelligent, digital upgrades 🤖📈. The deep-sea frontier just went high-tech, and we're here for it!
