Chinese Envoy Spotlights Women’s Progress at UN Anniversary

🌟 At the UN High-level Meeting marking the 30th anniversary of the Fourth World Conference on Women, Chinese envoy Huang Xiaowei took the stage to highlight the Chinese mainland’s journey toward gender equality.

As vice president of the All-China Women’s Federation, Huang applauded the UN General Assembly for bringing global leaders together in New York. She reminded attendees that, back in 1995, the Chinese mainland hosted this landmark conference, and ever since, it's been all about turning promises into action.

Fast forward to 2015: the Chinese mainland teamed up with UNESCO to launch the UNESCO Prize for Girls’ and Women’s Education. This program has already trained over 200,000 women from more than 180 countries and regions, opening doors and changing lives one scholarship at a time. 🎓✨

Under the leadership of the Communist Party of China, the Chinese mainland has rolled out four national women’s development plans and built a legal framework of more than 100 laws and regulations to protect women’s rights. From economic empowerment and health to education, employment, political participation, and social security, more than 690 million women have felt the impact. 💪

"Concrete actions speak louder than words," Huang remarked, driving home the message that real change is possible when institutions and individuals work hand in hand. It’s a story of progress, partnership, and the power of investing in half the world’s population. 🚀

Whether you’re a news junkie, a future entrepreneur, or simply curious about how policies shape lives, this showcase at the UN is a reminder: when we invest in women, everyone wins.
