Yuan Yue bows out of US Open opening round 🎾

It was a roller-coaster opener for China's tennis star Yuan Yue at the US Open in Queens. After cruising through the first set 6-2, she faced a fierce comeback from Russia's 17th seed Liudmila Samsonova.

Samsonova turned the tables in the second set, landing a perfect backhand winner to seal a 6-4 win. The showdown went down to the wire in the third, with both players trading powerful shots before Samsonova broke serve with a killer forehand at 5-4 and closed out the set 6-4. Final score: 2-6, 6-4, 6-4.

Despite a strong start, Yuan couldn't hold off the comeback and bowed out in the first round.
