Southern China Ports & Airports Bounce Back After Typhoon Kajiki

⚡️ Good news from the south coast! Transport in the Chinese mainland’s provinces of Hainan and Guangdong is humming again after Typhoon Kajiki passed by. Ports, airports, and roads are bouncing back as the storm weakens.

Typhoon Kajiki—the 13th typhoon of the year—skimmed past Hainan on Sunday night, then set its sights on northern and central Vietnam. By Monday morning, the worst had passed, and local authorities reported no storm-related fatalities in Hainan.

Even so, the typhoon left its mark: more than 102,500 people were affected by high winds and rough seas 🌊. Thanks to swift emergency measures, essential services like power, water, and transport are being restored at pace.

Travelers and locals can now look forward to smoother journeys. Ferry schedules are back on track, and airport runways are open for takeoffs and landings. Airlines are working to clear backlog flights, so if you’ve been on hold, your next flight might be just around the corner ✈️.

As the region rebuilds, communities are sharing safety tips and stories of solidarity on social media, proving once again that even nature’s wrath can’t stop us from coming together. Stay tuned for updates, and safe travels! 😊
