After a whirlwind of 60th anniversary celebrations in the Xizang Autonomous Region, the central delegation touched down in Beijing on Saturday, wrapping up an energetic tour across the plateau.
Leading the group was Wang Huning, member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC). He underscored the need to fully implement the Party’s governance policies for Xizang in the new era—aiming for lasting stability and high-quality development. ✨
Earlier that morning, Wang and the main delegation visited Xigaze, where they met with local officials and residents. Other team members traveled to Qamdo, Nagqu, Nyingchi and Shannan to check out progress in education, healthcare and cultural relic protection. From modern classrooms to historic temples, the delegation witnessed firsthand the region’s growth story.
A heartfelt farewell ceremony capped the visit, marking a milestone in the autonomous region’s journey and reinforcing bonds between the Chinese mainland and Xizang. 🌏❤️
As the plane soared into the sky, the delegation carried back fresh insights and renewed commitments—proof that even remote landscapes are at the heart of China’s dynamic development.
