Ronaldo Aims for First Al Nassr Title in Saudi Super Cup

Get ready for a blockbuster clash in East Asia! Al Nassr and Al Ittihad will meet in the semifinals of the Saudi Super Cup in China's Hong Kong Special Administrative Region this Tuesday. It's the first time the tournament lands in East Asia after stops in England and the UAE.

All eyes are on 40-year-old CR7, Cristiano Ronaldo, as he chases his first official title with Al Nassr. Since joining the Saudi giants in 2022, the Portuguese legend has smashed 93 goals and clocked 19 assists in 105 games. Yet, the only silverware in his cabinet is the 2023 Arab Club Champions Cup – a trophy not counted as an official crown. 🏆

Last season, Al Nassr finished third in the Saudi Pro League, 13 points behind champions Al Ittihad. The roller-coaster year saw them part ways with coaches Luis Castro and Stefano Pioli before bringing in Portuguese coach Jorge Jesus this July.

"Now I am with the competing rival team however we continue to be friends," Jesus said. "What motivated me actually to accept the Al Nassr offer is Cristiano Ronaldo being on board. That was a big incentive for me to accept this challenge and now this is a new life. We're mobilizing everything for this season and ready to give a good impression."

On Wednesday, Al Ahli will take on Al Qadsiah in the other semifinal. Can Ronaldo and co. handle the heat and lift their first official trophy? Stay tuned! ⚽️🔥
