China Pushes Back at G7 Over HK SAR Police Actions

🤔 This Monday, the Chinese Foreign Ministry fired back at recent statements by the G7 Rapid Response Mechanism and other Western countries that accused the Hong Kong SAR police of “transnational repression.”

Spokesperson Lin Jian said these claims are “utterly groundless.” He stressed that the Hong Kong police’s decision to issue arrest warrants against people linked to the illegal activities of the so-called Hong Kong Parliament fully complies with the Hong Kong National Security Law and the Safeguarding National Security Ordinance.

“They are lawful, justified, and necessary,” Lin Jian insisted, adding that such law enforcement actions align with international law and common practice. 🔍

He also criticized a certain country for abusing its long-arm jurisdiction, imposing unilateral sanctions, and then smearing the legitimate work of Hong Kong police, exposing “hypocrisy and double standards.” 🚨

Backing Hong Kong SAR police, the central government of the Chinese mainland stands firm against anti-China fugitives and destabilizing forces overseas. Lin Jian urged other nations to stop supporting these elements and respect China’s sovereignty by avoiding interference in its internal affairs. ✊🌏
