Flood Alert: Level-IV Response Active Amid Typhoon Co-May

Hey everyone, heads up! China's Ministry of Water Resources has activated a Level-IV emergency flood response in four key regions in response to Typhoon Co-May – the eighth typhoon of the year.

From Monday to Saturday, heavy rains are forecast in provinces like Shanghai, Jiangsu, Anhui, and Jiangxi. Areas including Zhejiang and around Taihu Lake could see water levels spike, with some small and medium rivers pushing beyond warning levels. 🌧️

Meanwhile, persistent high temperatures have set off snowmelt-driven flooding in Xinjiang and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps. Floods along the Tarim River and its tributaries are expected to stretch into mid-August. 🚨

Authorities urge everyone to keep a close eye on weather updates and heed early warnings to protect lives and property. Stay safe and prepared!
