China’s High-Tech Boost for Disability Support

China is ushering in a tech revolution for disability support by introducing smart bionic hands, guide robots, and exploring brain-computer interfaces. At a recent forum, Zhou Changkui, chairperson of the Board of Executive Directors of the China Disabled Persons' Federation, unveiled these innovations designed to enhance everyday life.

Working together with several governmental departments, universities, research institutes, and high-tech companies, a guiding document has been issued to promote the integration of advanced technologies for the benefit of people with disabilities. This collaborative push is paving the way for further developments through the 15th Five-Year Plan (2026-2030), with artificial intelligence and other emerging technologies set to make a significant impact. 🚀🤖
