Flood Emergency in Zhejiang & Fujian as Typhoon Danas Nears

China's Ministry of Water Resources has activated a Level-IV flood emergency response in the eastern provinces of Zhejiang and Fujian as Typhoon Danas approaches. The typhoon—already the fourth this year—made landfall in Taiwan late Sunday night and returned to sea early Monday morning.

The ministry forecasts that Danas will make a second landfall between Taizhou in Zhejiang and Ningde in Fujian from Tuesday afternoon to evening, bringing heavy rainfall from Monday through Thursday. This intense weather is expected to push rivers like the Qiantang to higher levels, and local water authorities are warning that some small and medium-sized rivers might exceed alert limits. Hilly areas also face a high risk of mountain torrents.

Authorities are closely monitoring the typhoon's path and have dispatched a team to Zhejiang to assist with response efforts. Stay tuned for updates as the situation unfolds and remember to keep safe during these extreme conditions! ⚠️🌧️
