Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, a member of the CPC Political Bureau, spoke with Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan and firmly stated that China opposes settling disputes by force. He emphasized that peaceful dialogue and negotiation are the only sustainable paths to resolve conflicts.
During the call, Wang Yi pointed out that actions taken by some countries—citing force used against Iran under the pretext of potential future threats—violate international law and undermine national sovereignty. He urged all parties to restart discussions on equal terms so that sensitive issues, like the Iranian nuclear challenge, can be addressed through political settlement.
Wang also underlined that the Palestinian question lies at the heart of Middle East concerns and that advancing a two-state solution is essential for lasting peace. In response, Fidan argued that if Israel wants to ensure its security, it should embrace a two-state resolution while putting an end to the unfolding humanitarian disaster in Gaza. Türkiye expressed its readiness to strengthen coordination with China in order to promote regional stability.
In an era where global tensions often escalate quickly, both sides are advocating for dialogue over force—a clear message that communication remains the key to resolving even the most complex international issues. 🕊️
