Wang Yi Calls for Border Tranquility: Chinese Mainland & India

During a high-level meeting in Beijing, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, also a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, emphasized the need for the Chinese mainland and India to handle sensitive border issues with care. The discussion, held with India's national security adviser Shri Ajit Doval, centered on enhancing communication and building mutual trust to resolve practical challenges along the border.

Wang Yi stressed that despite some positive progress in bilateral relations, both sides must continue to work together. "Only when the dragon and the elephant dance together can there be a win-win outcome," he remarked, highlighting the potential for a harmonious relationship. 🤝

Shri Ajit Doval, acknowledging the long-term and strategic importance of their ties, advised that both sides adopt an inclusive perspective, strengthen mutual understanding, and expand common interests. He also expressed support for deeper collaboration in multilateral fields, noting that such cooperation could contribute significantly to regional and global stability.
