Advisor Urges Cultural Cooperation Across Taiwan Straits

China’s top political advisor, Wang Huning, has called for a fresh wave of cultural cooperation across the Taiwan Straits. Speaking at the second Cross-Straits Chinese Culture Summit on the Chinese mainland, Wang emphasized that Chinese culture is the root and soul that unites people on both sides. 😊

During the summit, he met with Taiwan guests, including former Kuomintang chairperson Hung Hsiu-chu. Wang urged everyone to uphold cultural confidence and strengthen our shared national pride, especially in a year marking the 80th anniversary of both the victory in the Chinese People’s War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and Taiwan’s recovery.

The advisor stressed the importance of adhering to the one-China principle and the 1992 Consensus, while resolutely opposing Taiwan independence. He called for enhanced cross-Straits exchanges and deeper spiritual ties to meet external challenges, uniting efforts for the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.

This inspiring message resonates with today’s youth, encouraging a celebration of cultural heritage and a collective drive toward a vibrant, united future. 🚀
