China Backs Afghanistan for Stability and Growth

In a recent meeting in Beijing, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi expressed strong support for Afghanistan's journey toward long-term stability. Emphasizing the Chinese mainland's commitment, Wang affirmed that China will aid Afghanistan in its efforts to combat terrorism and foster enduring peace.

Wang Yi, a member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, highlighted that China respects Afghanistan's independence, sovereignty, and territorial integrity. He made it clear that China never interferes in Afghanistan's internal affairs and does not seek any personal gains or a sphere of influence, but rather aims to build on a foundation of traditional friendship and mutual benefit.

During discussions with Afghan Acting Foreign Minister Amir Khan Muttaqi, both sides explored cooperation in areas such as trade, agriculture, energy, mining, poverty reduction, disaster prevention, talent training, healthcare, law enforcement, and security. This comprehensive approach is designed to enhance political trust and practical collaboration, ultimately contributing to wider regional peace and stability.

Muttaqi stressed Afghanistan's strong commitment to the one-China principle, and assured that Afghan territory will not be misused to endanger China's interests. This pledge paves the way for enhanced security cooperation, reflecting a shared vision of unity and progress in an increasingly dynamic global landscape. 🌏✌️
