China Unveils Origin Tianji 4.0, Boosting 500+ Qubit Quantum Computers

In a major tech breakthrough, a Chinese firm has rolled out Origin Tianji 4.0, a self-developed superconducting quantum measurement and control system that powers quantum computers with over 500 qubits. Acting as the nerve center, this new system brings significant improvements in scalability, integration, stability, and automation.

Developed by Origin Quantum—a startup based in the eastern Chinese city of Hefei—this fourth-generation system builds on its successful 3.0 version that energized Origin Wukong, China’s independently developed third-generation superconducting quantum computer. Kong Weicheng, deputy director of the Anhui Quantum Computing Engineering Research Center and head of the development team, explained that Origin Tianji 4.0 will boost efficient control and precise readout of quantum chips, reducing R&D timelines and accelerating delivery.

Since its launch on January 6, 2024, Origin Wukong has been put to work in 139 countries and regions, serving over 26 million times and completing more than 380,000 quantum computing tasks. This leap in quantum tech is already transforming industries from finance to biomedicine, and it’s a true game-changer 🚀🔬.

With innovations like these, the future of quantum computing is looking brighter than ever, promising a new era of tech evolution that could reshape the global landscape.
