China & Vietnam Forge Ties at 9th Border Defense Exchange

In a spirited showcase of unity, China and Vietnam have launched the 9th Border Defense Friendship Exchange along designated areas in the south of the Chinese mainland's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region and Vietnam's Lang Son Province. Now in its ninth edition since 2014, this week-long event (April 11 to 17) features an extended schedule and a wide range of activities, coinciding with the 75th anniversary of establishing bilateral diplomatic ties.

From April 11 to 13, military medical teams from both sides provided joint consultations and home visits, reaching over 3,100 border residents with more than 1,300 free checkups and the distribution of over 2,000 boxes of medicine. This impressive effort highlights a strong commitment to community well-being along the border.

The excitement peaked on April 13 when the Vietnamese naval fleet paid its first visit to Beihai City in the Chinese mainland. Joint activities such as vessel tours, experience-sharing sessions, and engaging sports events have set the stage for the upcoming 38th China-Vietnam joint naval patrol in the Beibu Gulf.

This dynamic initiative not only bolsters military cooperation but also deepens cultural and community bonds, resonating with young people who value teamwork and international friendship. 🚀🌏
