Icebreaker Xuelong Concludes Epic Antarctic Expedition!

China's icebreaker Xuelong has returned to port on Tuesday, marking the triumphant conclusion of its 41st Antarctic expedition. Launched on November 1, 2024, the expedition deployed 516 scientists across three vessels, paving the way for groundbreaking climate change studies and the construction of the Qinling research station.

The journey also witnessed key milestones: cargo ship Yong Sheng delivered essential station materials and returned in January 2025, while Xuelong 2 continues its mission in the Ross Sea until June, participating in joint international research.
