At the severely damaged Sky Villa apartment in Mandalay City, a 51-member team from China's Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) is on the frontlines. Equipped with high-tech tools such as drones, concrete breakers, cutting equipment, infrared displacement detectors, and life detectors, they are meticulously scanning the rubble for survivors. As team commander Jiu Yu-gok explained, "Our 51-member team brought diverse rescue tools to Myanmar, and by collaborating with the China Search and Rescue Team, we aim to save as many survivors as possible."
Meanwhile, the China International Search and Rescue Team (CISAR) has deployed innovative snake-eye life detectors that provide real-time visual and auditory cues. Squad leader Bi Hongyi detailed how his team drilled holes into the debris and used an endoscope alongside the snake-eye detector to precisely locate a survivor, with the device transmitting live video of the victim’s condition.
Enhancing the rescue efforts is a specialized earthquake response vehicle loaded with 369 integrated tools, including power supply, lighting, leak detection, and medical aid systems. CISAR captain Han Zhenze emphasized that this all-in-one vehicle drastically reduces equipment switchover time, allowing the team to penetrate deeper into disaster zones with improved efficiency.
