The first batch of aid supplies from the Red Cross Society of China has arrived in Mandalay, the epicenter of Myanmar's recent 7.9-magnitude earthquake.
Included in the delivery are over 4,900 relief items – tents, blankets, folding beds, and family kits – to support affected households. The Myanmar Red Cross, along with an RCSC rescue team already in the region, is set to distribute these supplies and help establish emergency shelters.
Following the deadly quake on March 28, the RCSC promptly donated 1.5 million yuan (about $208,900) in emergency funding. Currently, 15 RCSC rescuers are on the ground, carrying out search-and-rescue operations while providing essential medical and psychological support.
This surge of humanitarian aid reminds us that compassion and solidarity unite us in times of crisis. Stay tuned for more updates on this global support effort! 🌍🤝
