Jiaolong Submersible Sets New Deep-Sea Records

Ready to dive deep into innovation? China's upgraded Jiaolong submersible has just set remarkable new records in deep-sea operations! From February 27 to March 25, this state-of-the-art vessel completed its first sea trials, smashing previous benchmarks in diving frequency and efficiency.

Within a thrilling 10-day window, Jiaolong executed a total of 14 dives. Highlights include four days with double missions and nine consecutive days of precision operations with a one-pilot-two-scientists crew setup. The upgrade, which began last November, focused on critical components like a powerful propulsion system and advanced battery packs made domestically. These include 7000m-rated oil-immersed lithium batteries with higher energy density, low-noise direct-drive thrusters, a deep-sea hydraulic buoyancy control system, and expanded emergency hydraulic interfaces.

Trials conducted at a 3000-meter depth confirmed the reliability of these enhancements, marking a significant leap in energy efficiency and core technology localization. And the excitement continues – Jiaolong is scheduled for over 80 dives in 2025, promising even more breathtaking underwater explorations!

Stay tuned for more updates as innovation takes us deeper than ever before. Dive into the future of deep-sea exploration! 🌊🚀
