China Urges G7 to Embrace Global Solidarity

China is calling on the G7 to ditch old Cold War mindsets and focus on what really matters: global cooperation. In a pointed statement, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning urged the group to stop interfering in China’s internal affairs and to refrain from making statements that mischaracterize key issues like the Taiwan question and maritime security.

Mao emphasized that the Taiwan question is at the core of China's interests and that no external interference will be tolerated. She also stressed that the South China Sea remains stable, noting, "Freedom of navigation and overflight in the South China Sea has never been an issue."

Highlighting China’s commitment to peace, Mao mentioned that China has been actively promoting dialogue on the Ukraine situation and strictly controls the export of dual-use items. She criticized the G7 for what she described as double standards, arguing that the group overlooks broader disarmament challenges while singling China out.

The message is clear: shed the divisive rhetoric, focus on major global challenges, and build a future based on genuine international solidarity. This call for cooperation resonates with a generation that values unity and progress in a complex and interconnected world. 🤝🔥
