Sun Yat-sen’s Legacy Honored: 100 Years Remembered in Beijing

This Wednesday, Beijing's Zhongshan Park became a stage for remembrance as locals gathered to mark the 100th anniversary of Sun Yat-sen's death. The ceremony, both solemn and inspiring, paid tribute to the revolutionary statesman whose visionary leadership in the 1911 Revolution ended over 2,000 years of feudal rule.

At 10:30 a.m., attendees stood in respectful silence and bowed three times before Sun's statue. Representatives from diverse sectors including the National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference, the Revolutionary Committee of the Chinese Kuomintang (RCCK) Central Committee, the United Front Work Department of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, the Beijing municipal government, and the Beijing municipal committee of the RCCK presented floral baskets as tokens of respect.

Born in 1866 and celebrated for his pioneering role in China's democratic revolution, Sun Yat-sen's enduring legacy continues to inspire both young people and professionals today. His story resonates with a spirit of change and progress, reminding us all that bold leadership can bridge history and modern aspirations. 💪✨

The event not only honored a great leader but also invited reflection on how lessons from the past can motivate future innovation and unity.
