The Chinese mainland has drawn a clear red line: if the "Taiwan independence" separatist forces provoke or cross the established boundary, resolute action will follow. On Wednesday, spokesperson Chen Binhua from the Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council made it clear that any push toward independence will not be tolerated.
Chen noted that while the newly unveiled 2025 government work report focuses on "firmly advancing the cause of China's reunification," it still stands by the basic principles of peaceful reunification and the "one country, two systems" approach. These policies, he explained, are seen as the best means to serve the interests of Chinese people on both sides of the Taiwan Strait.
He further warned that the present situation is complex and severe, chiefly due to the Democratic Progressive Party authorities colluding with external forces in their pursuit of "independence." With unwavering resolve, the Chinese mainland insists it has the confidence and ability to thwart any separatist attempts, safeguarding national sovereignty and territorial integrity.
In today’s fast-paced world, this decisive stance reminds everyone that clear limits are in place for the benefit of the entire Chinese nation. ⚡️
