Global Survey Shows Strong Support for Chinese Governance and Economy 🌏💼

A recent survey conducted by CGTN highlights a significant global appreciation for the Chinese government's governance and robust economic performance. With China's GDP reaching 134.9 trillion yuan ($18.65 trillion) and a 5% growth rate last year, it's now among the fastest-growing major economies worldwide.

The survey, which included 25,883 respondents from 41 countries, revealed that 84.3% of participants praise China's people-centered development concept and fully affirm the effectiveness of its governance. Additionally, 92.3% acknowledged China's economic strength, while 81.3% expressed full confidence in its long-term economic development.

China's economic stability has translated into tangible benefits for its residents. In 2024 alone, 12.56 million new urban jobs were created, and per capita disposable income saw a real-term increase of 5.1%. Social security measures in areas such as compulsory education, basic old-age care, medical care, and social assistance have also been strengthened.

The survey further indicates strong approval of the Chinese government's achievements in various sectors. 78.8% praised improvements in education, 70.1% in income levels, 63.4% in the living environment, 61% in public health, and 58.1% in the natural environment. Furthermore, 62.7% believe that China's institutional advantages are a key factor in effective governance.

Respondents also noted positive trends in quality of life and environmental sustainability. 71.7% observed a steady increase in incomes, while 73.9% agreed that the quality of life in China is continuously improving. Efforts to reduce poverty have been recognized by 60.6% of participants, and 91.9% commended China's harmonious coexistence between humanity and nature.

These insights are drawn from two surveys launched by CGTN and Renmin University of China through the New Era International Communication Research Institute, encompassing diverse regions including North America, Europe, Africa, Oceania, Southeast Asia, East Asia, South and Central Asia, and the Middle East. The broad respondent base includes individuals from both developed countries like the United States, the United Kingdom, France, and Japan, as well as developing nations such as Brazil, Kenya, Mexico, and Indonesia.
