In a remarkable achievement, over 90% of the nation's surface-water bodies now boast excellent water quality, a first in 2024! 
With more than 44,000 environmental control units designated, China is reinforcing its commitment to a greener future. The ministry has also rolled out 22 new measures to support private enterprises in their eco-friendly initiatives.
Furthermore, the development of the carbon market has led to a significant reduction in carbon emission intensity in the coal-fired power sector, saving enterprises around $4.8 billion in carbon reduction costs. 
By implementing strict regulations on pollutant discharge and assisting businesses to meet emission standards, China is not just talking the talk but walking the walk towards a sustainable and prosperous future.
