Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi emphasized the importance of peaceful coexistence during a press conference, highlighting that both nations, as the world’s largest developing and developed countries, must maintain harmony for long-term prosperity.
The poll indicates that 87.3% of Chinese respondents and 78.5% of American participants agree that mutual benefit is the foundation for resolving economic and trade issues. When describing the nature of China-U.S. relations, 66.4% of Chinese youth feel it involves "cooperation and competition," while 43.1% of American youth see a similar balance.
When it comes to competitive advantages, Chinese youth recognize the U.S.'s strengths in biotechnology, artificial intelligence, and space exploration. Conversely, American youth acknowledge China’s prowess in manufacturing technology, consumer electronics, and AI.
Looking ahead, Chinese respondents are eager to deepen cooperation in areas like AI, e-commerce, and healthcare. Meanwhile, American youth are interested in enhancing collaboration in manufacturing, clean energy, and environmental protection.
Moreover, there is a strong desire to foster greater exchanges, with 76.8% of Chinese and 80.7% of Americans believing that their youth share common values and interests. Popular culture was highlighted as an effective medium for enhancing mutual understanding, with significant interest in social platforms, animation, video games, and more.
To promote China-U.S. youth exchanges, Chinese youth prefer joint research projects, social media interactions, and student exchange programs. American youth are keen on joint research, cultural exchanges, and language learning initiatives.
Overall, the poll underscores a shared vision among youth in both nations to collaborate and achieve mutual success, paving the way for stronger bilateral relations. 🤝✨
