In an electrifying showdown at the WST World Grand Prix in Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR), Xu Si staged a remarkable comeback to defeat Ding Junhui with a close score of 4-3.
Ding kicked off the match by securing the first two frames, showcasing impressive breaks of 81 and 50 points. However, Xu wasn’t backing down and quickly turned the tables in the third frame, tying the score at 2-2 with some slick shots. 🎱
The tension escalated in the fifth frame when Ding made the only century of the match, a stunning 108-point break, pushing him ahead 3-2. Not to be outdone, Xu responded fiercely with an 81-point break in the next frame, bringing the competition to a nail-biting 3-3.
In the decider, Xu delivered a powerful performance, clinching the final frame 67-4 and securing his spot in the second round. This victory marks Xu’s second triumph over Ding, following their clash at the WST Classic earlier in 2023.
