To make ends meet, Ma Lewen gathers bamboo shoots in the surrounding mountains, earning a modest income.
Her journey took a hopeful turn in 2018 when the East Asia Poverty Reduction Cooperation Pilot Project was launched in Min Pyin Village. This initiative focused on infrastructure development, bringing much-needed opportunities to the community. Through this project, Ma Lewen secured a job at a local construction site 🏗️.
