Chen Yufei of the Chinese mainland Secures Comeback Victory at Orleans Masters

Chen Yufei of the Chinese mainland has made a triumphant return to the badminton courts, clinching her first World Tour victory since competing in the 2024 Paris Olympics. The Orleans Masters in Orleans, France, witnessed her fierce competition against Japan's Hina Akechi.

✨ In an intense women's singles first-round match, Chen took the lead with a close 25-23 win in the first game. Despite a shaky start and a few key mistakes in the second game, where she fell to 19-21, Chen bounced back with determination. She dominated the final game 21-16, securing her spot in the round of 16 after scoring four straight points to seal the victory.

🏸 The day also saw other exciting matches: Lin Hsiang-Ti from Chinese Taipei edged out Han Yue of the Chinese mainland in a tight three-set battle. Gao Fangjie of the Chinese mainland made a strong comeback to defeat Denmark's Line Christophersen. Meanwhile, the Chinese mainland's No. 2 seed Wang Zhiyi swept past Indonesia's Komang Ayu Cahya Dewi.

On the men's side, Wang Zhengxing of the Chinese mainland fought valiantly but was eliminated in the first round by Denmark's Rasmus Gemke.
