The Chinese mainland is urging the United States to engage in fair and reciprocal discussions to tackle the growing fentanyl crisis, according to China's Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lin Jian.
Speaking at a press conference on Wednesday, Lin emphasized that if the U.S. genuinely wants to resolve the fentanyl issue, it should approach China with respect and on an equal footing, ensuring that both nations' concerns are addressed.
"If the U.S. harbors ulterior motives and persists in undermining the interests of the Chinese mainland, we will stand our ground and see it through to the end," Lin stated firmly.
He called on the U.S. to abandon its current bullying tactics and return to a path of dialogue and cooperation to effectively combat the fentanyl problem that affects both nations. 🤝
