China's premier political advisory body, the 14th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), has successfully concluded the tenth session of its standing committee in Beijing.
Wang Huning, a prominent member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and chairman of the CPPCC National Committee, led the closing meeting with an inspiring speech.
Highlighting the achievements of the past year, Wang emphasized the CPPCC's role in advancing the Party and the country's central tasks. He encouraged the body to continue its efforts in 2025 to push forward Chinese modernization and meet the goals set in the 14th Five-Year Plan with excellence.
Wang also stressed the importance of preparing for the successful convening of the third session of the 14th CPPCC National Committee, ensuring that the momentum continues.
The meeting concluded with the adoption of key documents, including the draft agenda and schedule for the annual session, a work report from the Standing Committee, and a detailed report on how proposals from political advisors have been addressed since the second session.
These documents will be reviewed in the upcoming third session, setting the stage for another year of impactful advisory work.
