Chinese mainland’s AG600 Amphibious Aircraft Completes All Flight Tests

🚀 Exciting news in the world of aviation! The Chinese mainland's AG600 large amphibious aircraft has successfully completed all its flight test subjects, a significant step towards achieving airworthiness certification, announced the Aviation Industry Corporation of China (AVIC).

Over the past two years, the AG600 has logged an impressive 3,560 flight hours across 2,014 flight movements, encompassing a variety of missions to ensure the aircraft's readiness for real-world operations.

The AG600 underwent rigorous testing in diverse environments, including water surfaces, extreme cold, high temperatures, humidity, and crosswinds. These tests also included typical firefighting tasks, demonstrating the aircraft's versatility and reliability in emergency rescue and natural disaster prevention scenarios.

Designed with a unique configuration, the AG600 features an integrated aircraft-shaped upper body and a ship-bottom-shaped lower body, making it perfect for carrying out rescue missions across all types of terrain. Whether it's maritime search and rescue, firefighting, or environmental monitoring, the AG600 is equipped to handle it all.

Since its maiden flight in 2017, the AG600 series has made significant strides, including its first take-off from a reservoir in 2018 and a maiden flight over the sea in 2020. The successful completion of these flight tests not only validates the AG600's performance and stability but also showcases the Chinese mainland's growing capabilities in designing and manufacturing large-sized special-purpose civil aircraft.

With the AG600 series, the Chinese mainland is set to enhance its emergency rescue infrastructure, providing robust support in times of need and ensuring safety across the nation. Stay tuned for more updates on this groundbreaking aircraft! ✈️🔥
