China and Mongolia Agree to Boost Legislative Cooperation

🌏 In a significant move towards stronger bilateral ties, China's top legislator Zhao Leji and Mongolia's State Great Hural Chairman Dashzegve Amarbayasgalan met in Beijing on Tuesday to agree on enhancing exchanges and cooperation between their national and local legislatures.

During the meeting, Zhao emphasized the successful outcomes of recent China-Mongolia collaborations across various sectors under the strategic guidance of their leaders. He highlighted China's commitment to building a community with a shared future with Mongolia and fostering a comprehensive strategic partnership.

\"Upholding good-neighborliness and friendship is a strategic choice that benefits both our peoples,\" Zhao stated. He also mentioned China's willingness to support Mongolia in safeguarding the UN-centered international system and defending the victorious outcomes of World War II.

Echoing Zhao's sentiments, Amarbayasgalan reaffirmed Mongolia's adherence to the one-China principle and expressed eagerness to deepen cooperation in areas like transportation, energy, agriculture, and electric vehicles.

The two leaders agreed to utilize the regular exchange mechanisms between their legislatures to further strengthen their partnership. This collaboration is expected to contribute positively to the sustained growth and development of both nations.

As China's National People's Congress prepares for its third session of the 14th NPC, the strengthening of legislative ties with Mongolia marks a pivotal step in enhancing mutual understanding and cooperation.
