China & Russia Boost Partnership at G20 🚀

At the vibrant G20 Foreign Ministers' Meeting in Johannesburg, South Africa, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi sat down with his Russian counterpart, Sergei Lavrov, to discuss the future of China-Russia relations.

Wang Yi, a key member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, highlighted that the China-Russia comprehensive strategic partnership is evolving to new heights and broader dimensions. This partnership is not just about politics but extends to various areas of mutual benefit.

The two leaders emphasized their commitment to mutually beneficial cooperation and strategic coordination, which play a crucial role in safeguarding the interests of both nations and their peoples. Their collaboration aims to advance global multipolarity, creating a more balanced international landscape.

Wang Yi expressed China's willingness to work closely with Russia to fully implement the important consensus reached by their heads of state, ensuring the continued growth of China-Russia relations in the upcoming year.

Echoing this sentiment, Lavrov stated that Russia is eager to enhance high-level exchanges with China and deepen practical cooperation across economy, trade, finance, and culture. He also mentioned the importance of frameworks like BRICS, the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, the United Nations, and the G20 in fostering their strategic partnership.

The discussion also covered international and regional issues of mutual concern, including the ongoing situation in the Middle East, showcasing their unified stance on global challenges.
