China Unveils ‘Travel with Chinese Films’ Initiative to Boost Tourism 🎬✈️

Lights, camera, action! 🎥 China has launched an exciting new initiative called \"China Travel with Chinese Films\" during a grand ceremony at the China National Film Museum in Beijing on Monday.

This initiative is all about blending blockbuster films like Ne Zha II, Creation of the Gods II: Demon Force, and Detective Chinatown 1900 with travel experiences. By leveraging the international success of these Chinese New Year hits and recent visa-free transit policies, China aims to attract more visitors from around the globe.

Hosted by the China Film Administration and China Media Group (CMG), and organized by China Global Television Network (CGTN) and the Film Channel Program Center, the initiative focuses on the magic of "film + tourism." This means integrating film screenings, international film festivals, and overseas Chinese film festivals to offer foreign audiences a cinematic journey through China.

Imagine exploring China's stunning landscapes and rich culture while following your favorite movie narratives. 🌏✨ The initiative plans to develop themed travel routes that provide immersive experiences, linking movie culture with China’s natural and cultural landmarks.

Jiang Qiudi, head of CMG’s Europe Bureau, shared that CMG will use its global network and partnerships with international media and social platforms to promote this initiative. The goal is to expand its reach, collaborate with international film institutions, and host flagship events that showcase the best of Chinese cinema worldwide.

The event also featured updates from the filmmakers behind this year's New Year blockbusters, highlighting their impressive box office performances around the world. 🎉

Attendees included representatives from CMG, the Film Bureau of the Publicity Department of CPC Central Committee, major Chinese film production and distribution companies, film studios, travel agencies, and the Silk Road International Film Festival.
