At the 61st Munich Security Conference this Saturday, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi and his Israeli counterpart Gideon Sa'ar engaged in meaningful discussions about the ongoing situation in Gaza.
Wang Yi emphasized that the Palestinian issue is central to the Middle East's stability. He highlighted that responding to violence with more violence only deepens the conflict, leading to a vicious cycle that hinders peace.
Expressing hope for a brighter future, Wang called for the effective implementation of a ceasefire and advocated for a comprehensive and lasting peace agreement. He firmly believes that the two-state solution is the key to resolving the conflict, envisioning a peaceful coexistence between Palestine and Israel, and fostering friendly exchanges between Arab and Jewish communities.
Wang also assured that China is committed to playing a constructive role in achieving a thorough and just settlement to the Palestinian question. 🙌✨
